OUR SERVICES

Speech Therapy

Helping every child find their voice — whether verbal, AAC, or PECS-based.

Speech Therapy for Children

Speech therapy helps children develop the skills they need to communicate clearly and confidently. Our registered Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) support children with autism as well as other speech and language delays that may affect how they express themselves, understand language, and interact with others.

We work with children at all stages of communication — from pre-verbal children developing the foundations of communication, to minimally verbal children using emerging words, to fully verbal children who need support with articulation, language development, and social communication skills.

Using evidence-based assessments and individualized therapy plans, our SLPs help children build effective and meaningful communication skills.

At our centre, speech therapy is delivered through a multidisciplinary team approach, where SLPs collaborate with ABA therapists, Occupational Therapists, and other professionals to support each child’s overall development.

Frequently Asked Questions

The earlier, the better. Research strongly supports early intervention. We work with children from age 2 onward, and starting before age 5 is associated with the best long-term outcomes.

We specialize in non-verbal and minimally verbal children. We’ll assess your child’s current communication level and introduce an appropriate AAC system or PECS program to give them an immediate communication tool.

We typically recommend 1–2 sessions per week (45–60 minutes each), combined with a home programming plan so you can practice in daily routines. Frequency is adjusted based on your child’s goals.

Absolutely. Our SLPs and BCBAs collaborate closely so speech goals are reinforced across all therapy settings — in the clinic, at home, and in the community.
